Trump announced on Truth Social that the U.S. negotiating team would arrive in Pakistan on Monday evening. Speaking to the New York Post on Monday, Trump signaled openness to a direct meeting with Iranian officials. “I have no problem meeting them,” he said. “If they want to meet, and we have some very capable people, but I have no problem meeting them.” The 10-day ceasefire expires tomorrow, on April 21st.
Iran is undecided on another round of talks with the U.S.:“We have no plans for the next round of negotiation, and no decision has been made in this regard,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said in a briefing on Monday.
