A massive fire broke out at a company in the Phase 1Noida area, triggering panic in the locality. Police and four fire tenders rushed to the spot and began efforts to control the blaze.

Thick smoke billowing from the E-69 and E-70 units was visible from a distance, while the intensity of the flames posed a major challenge for firefighters. Officials said no one is trapped inside and no casualties have been reported so far. As a precaution, the surrounding area has been evacuated, and a safety cordon has been put in place.

In another case of blaze from NCR, a fire broke out at a packaging company on Basai Road in Gurugram, prompting a swift response from fire and police teams. The blaze was brought under control, and no casualties have been reported. Sub Inspector Uttar Singh, Police Station Sector 10, told ANI, "We received information that fire broke out in a company. The fire has been brought under control. There are no casualties... It was a packaging company."

The fire in the Noida factory comes days after workers’ protest in the industrial city, which spiralled intolarge-scale violenceon April 13, was initially sparked by demands for higher wages and better working conditions. The unrest brought activity in key industrial areas to a halt and prompted a heavy security deployment across the city.

The agitation widened a day later, with domestic workers in several high-rise societies, including Cleo County, joining in and raising similar demands for better pay. Faced with mounting pressure, the administration responded with a mix of strict enforcement and policy concessions.
