In a major aviation scare on Sunday (April 19), a Fly91 Airlines flight suffered a sudden technical fault mid-air, forcing pilots to abort landing and keep the aircraft airborne for more than four hours. The incident left passengers terrified and triggered panic among their families, even as the crew worked to stabilise the situation and ensure a safe outcome.

The flight IC3401, an ATR turboprop AT7, had departed from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad at around 3 PM and was scheduled to land in Hubballi by 4:30 PM. However, as the aircraft approached its destination, it reportedly developed a technical issue, prompting the pilots to abort landing.

According to reports, the aircraft remained airborne for nearly four hours, circling over multiple regions including Mundgod, Davanagere, and Shivamogga. The prolonged time in the air was used by the crew to manage the technical fault and assess landing options.

After repeated attempts and tense moments, the flight was eventually diverted to Kempegowda International Airport, where it landed safely at around 7:30 PM.

Meanwhile, family members waiting on the ground expressed anger against the airline, alleging lack of communication during the crisis. They claimed that no proper updates were provided about the situation, which added to their anxiety.
