With 8908 runs, Kohli is the highest run-scorer inIPL. He is only 92 runs away from the elusive 9000-run mark in the T20 league. The only batter with 8000 IPL runs thus far, Kohli is now on the cusp of becoming the only batter with 9000 runs. His tally of 8908 runs includes 8 centuries and 65 half-centuries.
Kohli has an average of 39.76. He has batted with a strike rate of 133.43. Kohli has 299 sixes and 799 fours in IPL. Kohli kicked off his IPL career with RCB in 2008. Delhi Capitals (then known as Delhi Daredevils) had an option to pick Kohli but they decided against it.
Kohliinitially struggled in IPL and took a couple of seasons to establish himself in the T20 league. The right-handed batter joined RCB's leadership group in 2011. He breached the 500-run mark for the first time in 2011 and scored 557 runs.

Shikhar Dhawan finished his IPL career with 6769 and sits in the third position. David Warner scored 6565 runs and is fourth. Fifth-placed Suresh Raina finished his IPL career with 5528 runs.
