A man has been arrested on suspicion ofmurderinghis twin daughters. The 11-year-old girls died after allegedly having their throats slit while at home.
Policewere called to the family's apartment at around 4.30am on Sunday morning (April 19). They arrived to find the bodies of the girls on the floor of their bedroom.
A knife was found nearby before their 45-year-old father, who was reportedly sitting beside the bodies. He wasarrestedat the scene. Forensic examiners believe the twins were smothered before having their throats cut.

According to theHindustan Times, the girls lived with their father in one section of the apartment in Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur, India. Meanwhile, their six-year-old brother lived with their mother in a separate part of the flat.
DCP (South) Deependra Nath Chaudhary confirmed the arrest on Sunday. He added: "We received a call on 112 at around 4.30am from the accused himself."
Local media reports suggest the girls were found on the floor beside their unused bed.
The suspect's wife told police that everything seemed normal the evening before the girls were found dead. The family had dinner together before the accused took the children to his room and took a lengthy phone call.
The wife was woken up when police knocked on the door in the middle of the night.
