We’ve got news outlets reporting on job growth or falling crime that just can’t help themselves but feign ignorance as to how these things could possibly have happened.
The simplest explanation can be said by invoking, of all things, an Obama quote.
After 20 minutes of fielding predictable questions tossed out by the usual suspects in the press gallery, Karoline Levitt wrapped up the press conference by providing answers to a series of questions none of them had bothered to ask about.
Why weren’t these questions asked?
Simple: instead of the ‘gotcha’ questions to which they love to default, Karoline was addressing the GOOD news surrounding the accomplishments of Trump’s administration.
And before you say it’s not their job to talk about the good news? Think back on the Chris Matthews ‘thrill up my leg’ moment, or how they gushed over Biden from his inauguration day right up to the moment they realized they could no longer claim (in unison, mind you) that he was ‘sharp as a tack’.

Pick any 3 of those and it’s an amazing year. But all of this is in the context of all the other things that happened this year, including how many peace deals was it? And shoring up our supply lines by re-shoring most everything.
She didn’t even mention the Trump Health Care account where patients can visit a federal website and print off a coupon to qualify for discounts of sometimes 80 or 90% on things like Asthma inhalers or weight loss medications, with American patients now getting literally the best price any patient anywhere in the world gets.
