Delhi Weather Today:Residents across Delhi NCR are set foranother warm day, with rising temperatures and limited chances of rain offering little respite. According to the India Meteorological Department, the region will witness partly cloudy skies on April 19, but the heat will continue to dominate daily life. The maximum temperature is expected to touch around 41°C, while the minimum may hover near 24°C.
Humidity levels are likely to remain around 39 percent, adding to the discomfort. Winds will be light, moving at about 5 km per hour, and the probability of rainfall remains low at just 10 percent. While cloud cover may provide brief relief in the morning hours, the day is expected to feel significantly hotter.
The heat is not expected to ease anytime soon. Weather forecasts indicate that temperatures will continue to climb over the next few days. On April 20, the maximum temperature may reach 38°C, followed by 39°C on April 21. By April 22 and 23, the mercury is likely to rise further, touching between 40°C and 41°C.
Minimum temperatures are also expected to increase gradually, ranging between 24°C and 26°C. Humidity levels may fluctuate between 65 percent and 75 percent, making conditions feel more humid and oppressive. Despite occasional clouds, the overall weather pattern will remain hot and dry, with no major rain activity expected in the near future.
Along with rising heat, air pollution continues to be a concern across the region. Several areas in Delhi have recorded poor air quality levels. Anand Vihar reported an AQI of 260, while Alipur stood at 236 and CRRI Mathura Road at 211. Other areas such as Ashok Vihar and Bawana also recorded unhealthy levels.
Neighbouring regions are facing similar conditions. Ghaziabad and Greater Noida have reported AQI levels ranging from moderate to poor, with areas like Loni and Indirapuram showing higher pollution levels. While strong winds and minor rainfall may offer slight improvement, overall air quality remains far from satisfactory.
