At the grand finale of KIIT Bhubaneswar presents the 61st Femina Miss India, co-powered by Rajnigandha Pearls, Vineet Jain, Managing Director, Times Group, addressed the audience, reflecting on the legacy and continued relevance of the platform.
He said that for over six decades, Femina Miss India has stood for “one powerful idea: empowering young Indian women to achieve their true potential and shape their own journeys”, adding that the platform has served as a launchpad for women across industries. Emphasising its impact, he said that “Miss India winners have consistently shown that this crown is not the destination; it is the beginning”.
He also highlighted the pageant’s global recognition, citing past winners such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza and Manushi Chhillar, who continue to inspire millions. Speaking about the significance of hosting the event in Bhubaneswar, he said the association with KIIT and KISS reflects shared values of access to opportunity, education and empowerment.
Referring to the institutions, he said KIIT has emerged as a leading centre of excellence with a global outlook, while KISS stands out as a model of inclusion, providing thousands of tribal children with education and an opportunity to reshape their futures. He described the journey of Dr Achyuta Samanta as “a powerful reminder of what vision and purpose can achieve”.
Addressing students in the audience, he said they represent “the confidence and ambition of a new India” that is ready to dream bigger and create its own path.
