Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday in a televised address to the nation accused the Opposition saying that the Congress and its allies are continuously lying over delimitation adding they want to fan the flames of division over delimitation in the country. PM Modi targeted the opposition a day after the government failed to pass The Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill sought to implement 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies before the 2029 Lok Sabha polls through a delimitation exercise based on the 2011 Census. The Prime Minister lashed out at the opposition saying what happened in Parliament on Friday was not just desk thumping, but an attack on the dignity and self respect of women. He added a woman may forget many things, but she never forgets her insult.
