Notably, Pakistan are ranked 202 out of 204 in the latest football rankings. Their achievements include winning the 1952 Asian Quadrangular Tournament and securing gold medals at the 1989 and 1991 South Asian Games. They have, however, not qualified for the FIFA World Cup or major international tournaments outside South Asia.
