Donald Trumphas been blasted byIran'stop negotiator over his ceasefire claims - just hours after the US President made a major announcement about thereopening of the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on social media, Mohammed-Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's Parliament Speaker, wrote: “The President of the United States made seven claims in one hour, all seven of which are false.”
It was not clear which specific claims he was referring to, but Ghalibaf asserted that the US would make no progress in negotiations based on what he described as lies. “With these lies, they did not win the war and will certainly achieve nothing in negotiations,” the Iranian official stated. He also warned the 79-year-old US leader that Tehran will close the Strait of Hormuz if the US continues its naval blockade, shortly after the US President said the blockade will remain in "full force".

Ghalibaf said the vital shipping route will not be considered “fully open” under a continued American blockade.
“With the continuation of the blockade, the Strait of Hormuz will not remain open,” Ghalibaf said, adding that passage would be conducted based on a “designated route” and with “Iranian authorisation.”
These negative posts came after President Trump shared a series of upbeat messages on his social media platform, Truth Social, following Iran’s foreign minister announcing that the Strait of Hormuz had reopened.
In his tenth Truth Social post in an hour, Trump claimed that Iran “has agreed to never close the Strait of Hormuz again”.
“It will no longer be used as a weapon against the World!” Trump said. “A GREAT AND BRILLIANT DAY FOR THE WORLD!” Trump wrote in a post just moments before.
However, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's foreign minister, said the important oil route would be open “for the remaining period of cease-fire” for ships that adhered to a route “coordinated” by Iran.
