Bharat Bandh on February 12:India may witness widespread disruption on February 12, 2026, as central trade unions and farmers’ organisations have called for a nationwide strike, or Bharat Bandh. The bandh is expected to impact public sector banks, transport services, government offices and markets in several states. The banks are officially open but services may get impacted due to the nationwide strike.
The strike has been called by a joint platform of 10 central trade unions — INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF and UTUC — with support from farmer groups.
