Hancom announced Thursday that its flagship artificial intelligence (AI) agent, Hancom Assistant, has become the first Korean AI solution to obtain the “AX (AI Transformation) Usability Certification” from the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA).

The service understands and executes users’ natural language commands, interpreting conversational instructions and carrying out tasks step by step. Beyond simple question-and-answer functions, it can draft reports, summarize documents and correct grammar, autonomously managing workflows from writing and editing to analysis based on contextual understanding.

Starting this year, Hancom will position the service as a full-fledged agent platform and rapidly integrate specialized “micro-agent” functions tailored to specific work processes, enabling customers to experience tangible AI transformation benefits.

Micro-agents are compact AI modules optimized for specific roles or tasks, designed to deliver immediate workflow automation without complex setup. They are part of Hancom’s next-generation AI lineup.

The certification framework, developed by the TTA based on ISO/IEC 25023 and AI guidelines from leading global technology companies, evaluates solutions across 20 criteria, including learnability, operational convenience and error responsiveness.

Hancom added that as the AI market shifts from technology-driven competition toward user experience, the certification underscores its competitive edge. Building on the milestone, the company plans to swiftly roll out microagent products incorporating its longstanding document technology expertise.

“The certification marks a significant milestone in proving the practical value of Hancom’s AI in real workplace settings," CEO Kim Yeon-su said.

“Through a company-wide AI transformation initiative launched this year, we will first deploy microagents internally across various job functions before supplying validated solutions to the market, ultimately aiming to become a game changer in workflow efficiency.”
