A vermin infestation forced the restaurant at thesuper-exclusive San Vicente Bungalowsclub in West Hollywood to close this week.
The eatery inside the star-studded invite-only club racked upviolations due to the presence of insects, rodentsor birds, leading to its closure on Tuesday, according to a Los Angeles County health officials.
The establishment at 845 N San Vicente Blvd. also got hit with violations for issues related to the sanitation of food contact surfaces, according to the report.
It’s unclear when the restaurant will reopen. Dining establishments must generally eliminate the problem and pass another inspection.
Members of the San Vicente Bungalows, owned by hotelier Jeffrey Klein, have included high-profile celebrities like actors Julia Roberts and Eddie Redmayne, according to a 2019 GQ article.
Director Steven Spielberg, Netflix executive Ted Sarandos and actor Bradley Cooper have also been spotted there.
Photography is forbidden at the club and members can face penalties for being on their phone.
Klein’s hope for the club was to make it a bastion of exclusivity for its A-list guests.
“We don’t judge at all,” hetold GQ.“Bring your wife one night, your mistress the next night and your boyfriend the one after. That’s sort of what this was created for — no judging. Where else can you do that in privacy?”
Club-goers also aren’t allowed to talk about what happens inside.
