SANZI: “Their influence is big. I mean again this is like a mammoth organization, they have a ton of influence, power is the name of the game as far as they're concerned. And again having been in one of them in two different states you know a couple decades ago they always were kind of political and they said you know vote for this guy don't vote for that guy, but they weren't these sort of radical ideological organizations like they are now and so again anything in the realm of civics passing through the union lens is now going to be highly ideological and hyper politicized and extremely one-sided which is not at all what students need. They need the knowledge and foundation so that they can form their own opinions you know based on on a shared knowledge of how things function in this country and they don't have it.”
