A bomb threat email was sent to the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Tuesday morning, triggering a security alert in the national capital. The message also warned of a possible blast at the nearby Delhi Metro station.

According to officials, the email was received at 7:49 am on Speaker Vijender Gupta’s official email ID, while a similar threatening message had earlier been sent to the Assembly’s general email at 7:28 am.

The email reportedly mentioned the names of several top leaders, including Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

Reacting to the bomb threat mail, BJP MLA Harish Khurana said, "We will not get scared, this is BJP government, committed to development. We introduced a budget of Rs 1 lakh crore and the development work of Delhi is ongoing... I believe the last record will be broken and the budget will be even bigger this time..."

Authorities have launched an investigation, and security agencies are on alert.
