RINO Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) is now attempting to gut key provisions of the SAVE America Act, filing an amendment that would allow individuals born before 1961 to bypass proof-of-citizenship requirements when registering to vote.
The Gateway Pundit has repeatedly exposed RINO betrayals and efforts to undermine election integrity, including Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-AK) history of siding with Democrats on key issues that weaken conservative priorities.
Just weeks ago, we reported how this Alaska senatorflat-out refused to support the SAVE America Act,parroting leftist talking points about “disenfranchising” voters while ignoring the real threat of non-citizen voting that threatens our republic.
Now, Murkowski is doubling down on her sabotage. The RINO senator has filed an amendment to the SAVE America Act that would weaken the bill’s core citizenship proof requirements, specifically allowing individuals born before 1961 to bypass providing documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote.
This carve-out would create a massive loophole in the legislation, which is designed to ensure only American citizens vote in federal elections by requiring in-person proof like a certified birth certificate, passport, or REAL ID indicating citizenship.
Murkowski’s floor speech defending her opposition to the SAVE Act (focused on the substitute amendment to Senate Bill 1383) was a masterclass in excuses. She claimed the bill’s immediate implementation would create “logistical challenges” in her massive, remote state of Alaska, one-fifth the size of the continental U.S. with a tiny population of just over 700,000.
She whined about dog sled races covering 1,000 miles through roadless areas, the burdens on elderly Alaska Natives born in remote villages without easy access to birth certificates, and the lack of federal funding for states to comply.
The SAVE America Act is a straightforward, common-sense measure to protect elections from fraud—building on what most states already require for voter ID while closing the loophole on non-citizen registration.
Yet Murkowski, the sole Republican who voted against even opening debate on the bill (joining every Democrat in a 51-48 procedural vote), is now pushing this pre-1961 exemption amendment to let older voters skip the citizenship proof step.
