Geonwoo Lee, who is of Asian descent, started a Turning Point USA chapter at his high school in Washington state, Henry M. Jackson High School.

Lee, who was joined by fellow student Michael Reihing, shared in an interview with Fox News that while he expected political debate, he was not expecting harassment targeting him and his family.

Lee told “Fox & Friends First” that the harassment began within 24 hours of the chapter’s launch.

Host Todd Piro shared, “Speaking of ignorance, listen to this story. A Washington State high school student carrying on Charlie Kirk’s legacy by starting his own Turning Point chapter. But Geonwoo Lee is now facing disturbing harassment and abuse from classmates.”

“A hate account targeting him on Instagram was made within 24 hours of the chapter’s launch, and he has received direct messages from students like this one, quote, ‘You and your family are one ICE report away from being taken away if you keep this blank up. That messenger proceeded to call him a racial slur.”

He’s also been compared to Hitler and Mao, and others saying he deserved to die. Geonwoo Lee is that Turning Point chapter president at Henry M. Jackson High School, joins us along with the chapter’s vice president, Michael Reihing. Gentlemen, thanks so much for being here. The irony, Geonwoo Lee, of that message like that is almost matched, if not close to being matched, by the ignorance of it. Like, everything factually in there is an absolute falsehood. It’s also extremely insulting. What are some of the other racist attacks that you have received, Geonwoo, from your classmates?”

Geonwoo responded, “Yeah, well, thanks for having us, Todd. Well, I’ve been compared to people like Mao and Kim Jong-un, and you are right, it is very hypocritical and ironic. And that isn’t just the beginning. Like you mentioned before, within the first 24 hours, multiple hate pages got made of me. I received dozens of hostile messages on both my club and personal accounts.”

“And it’s really interesting how the anti-ICE page that was formed actually in protest of my group, because Turning Point USA is quote-unquote “racist, fascist, and white supremacist,” hey weaponized my ethnicity against me. I want to just quickly contrast that with my experience as a conservative.”

“A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of going to my local GOP and speaking there. And not only did they embrace me as a fellow conservative and a Republican, more significantly, they embraced me as a American.”

Piro responded, “That’s beautiful. I’d just like to point out that these comments, of course, are coming from the quote-unquote “tolerant left.”Boy, they’re always so tolerant, right? Michael, when faced with that kind of a hostile environment that you and your friend are facing, why did you decide to carry on and continue to start this chapter?
