Great Neck Public Schools have announced that Parkville School has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School.

Parkville joins E.M. Baker, John F. Kennedy and Saddle Rock elementary schools in earning the designation, which recognizes schools for innovation in teaching and learning through the use of Apple technology.

“At Parkville School, we believe that early childhood is the foundation for learning, community, and digital literacy,” Principal Michelle Bell said. “Our vision is to nurture curious, confident, and compassionate learners who use technology to imagine, create, and make their voices heard.”

Bell said the school emphasizes a balance of screen time while helping students develop as creators, critical thinkers, collaborators and problem-solvers.

Apple Distinguished Schools are recognized for using technology-rich environments to support learning goals and demonstrate academic achievement.

Superintendent Kenneth R. Bossert said the designation reflects the district’s approach to integrating technology with traditional instruction.

“This honor reflects the innovative ways our educators integrate age-appropriate technology with strong, traditional instructional practices to support even our youngest learners,” Bossert said.
