**The Parker Jewish Institute Embraces Diversity with Annual Holi Celebration**
**NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y.** – The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation transformed into a vibrant hub of culture and joy on Monday, March 16, 2026, as the facility hosted its highly anticipated annual Holi celebration.
Widely recognized as the "Festival of Colors" and the "Festival of Love," the holiday traditionally honors the divine bond between Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. At the Parker Institute, the event served as a testament to the organization's commitment to cultural inclusivity, bringing together a diverse assembly of patients, residents, families, and staff for an afternoon of unity.
The auditorium buzzed with energy as the program kicked off with a performance by residents of Parker’s Indian Cultural Unit. Their dynamic blend of traditional song and dance received a warm ovation, setting an enthusiastic tone for the remainder of the festivities.
The celebration highlighted the depth of Indian heritage through various artistic expressions. Aadhitya Prem and Navya Prasad, representing the Navatman School, captivated the audience with traditional storytelling dances. The rhythmic flair continued with Henna Khanijou of the Kalakriti Academy of the Arts, who delivered an engaging classical Bollywood dance that brought smiles to many in the audience.
One of the afternoon's highlights featured a surprise performance by Rachel Dalton, Parker’s assistant vice president of strategy and program development, alongside Mukta Kohli, the institute’s cultural liaison. The duo performed a spirited rendition of the popular song *Bura Na Mano, Holi Hai*, drawing cheers from the crowd and emphasizing the bridge between cultures at the institute.
Michael N. Rosenblut, president and CEO of the Parker Jewish Institute, underscored the importance of such events in maintaining a supportive community atmosphere.
"Holi is one of the many special celebrations we cherish at Parker, bringing joy, unity and cultural connection," said Rosenblut. "While each occasion throughout the year is meaningful in its own way, our community particularly looks forward to Holi, made even more memorable by the dedication of our team members and volunteers, who do an outstanding job creating a warm and welcoming environment for all."
The event stands as a hallmark of Parker’s mission to provide holistic care, ensuring that residents from all walks of life feel recognized and celebrated within their living community.
