# Great Neck South Middle School Dominates Long Island Regional MoMathlon
**GREAT NECK, NY** – Demonstrating exceptional mathematical prowess, students from Great Neck South Middle School swept the top honors at the Long Island Regional MoMathlon, securing both first and second place in the team competition.
The tournament, which took place on March 10 at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, brought together the brightest young minds from across Long Island to test their skills in team, individual, and mix-up rounds of complex mathematical problem-solving.
Great Neck South’s Team A clinched the top spot, while Team B followed closely to secure second place. Team A is comprised of students Zale Zhang, Bruce Peng, Nathan Yu, Brian Guo, and Lucas Zhen. Representing Team B were Hanchen Peter Ding, Alison Guo, Jinxian Dennis Au, Anthony Li, and Tobias Lin.
The success of the Great Neck contingent extended well beyond the team events, as students also dominated the individual rankings.
In the lower division (grades 6-7), South Middle students secured a clean sweep of the podium: * **1st Place:** Tobias Lin * **2nd Place:** Anthony Li * **3rd Place:** Brian Guo

Following their impressive performance at Brookhaven, the students have earned an invitation to compete in the prestigious MoMathlon Tournament of Champions in New York City.
