Three Roslyn High School seniors had the opportunity to share their academic research on a national stage.

Olivia Jacobson, Yael Novak and Elizabeth Yadgarov traveled to Boston to participate in the Eastern Psychological Association’s annual conference on Friday, Feb. 27. The students were invited to present their work during a poster session alongside undergraduate and graduate researchers from universities across the country, an unusual honor for high school students.

Each student presented original research on timely topics. Elizabeth Yadgarov explored strategies to encourage men to seek preventive health care, Yael Novak developed an alternative measurement to body mass index, and Olivia Jacobson examined attitudes toward bipartisan political candidates.

The students were accompanied by their mentor, Allyson Weseley, who praised their accomplishments and dedication.

“I’m so proud of them,” Weseley said. “They worked incredibly hard on their research and represented Roslyn beautifully.”

The experience provided the students with an opportunity to engage with scholars from across the country while showcasing the depth of research being conducted by Roslyn High School students.
