# Glen Cove Student Artists Shine at Prestigious ‘Go APE’ Exhibition
**GLEN COVE, NY** — The halls of Glen Cove High School are buzzing with pride this week as three standout students from the AP Art and Design program have earned prestigious recognition at the 19th Annual “Go APE” Advanced Placement Student Exhibition.
Gianna DiMaggio, Milo Walthers, and Giorgina Dondero were selected to represent their school in this highly competitive regional showcase, which highlights the very best in student artistic achievement across Long Island.
Hosted by the Art League of Long Island, the “Go APE” exhibition serves as a premier venue for young talent, featuring a diverse collection of two-dimensional and three-dimensional works. This year’s exhibition is particularly notable for its scope, featuring 76 student artists hailing from 30 different high schools throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties.
The achievement is a significant milestone for the Glen Cove art department. According to their instructor, Mrs. Palazzo, the trio’s success is a testament to the rigorous dedication required in the AP Art curriculum.
“Watching Gianna, Milo, and Giorgina push the boundaries of their creativity this year has been an inspiration,” Mrs. Palazzo stated.
Perhaps most impressive is the level of excellence achieved by the group; all three students were featured prominently on the cover of this year’s exhibition materials.
“Having all three recognized on a regional level, and featured on the exhibition cover, speaks volumes about the talent and work ethic within our art department,” Palazzo added.
As these young artists continue to develop their craft, their recognition at the regional level serves as an encouraging reminder of the vibrant creative potential flourishing within the Glen Cove community. The “Go APE” exhibition stands as a celebrated platform for these students to share their unique perspectives and technical skills with the broader public.
