**TUCSON, AZ** – Chaos erupted at the Park Place Mall on East Broadway Boulevard late Friday afternoon, as emergency crews and law enforcement descended on the shopping center following reports of a shooting that left two people wounded.

The incident, which occurred at 5870 E. Broadway Blvd, prompted an immediate lockdown of the mall as officers from the Tucson Police Department swept the premises. Witnesses on the scene described a sudden shift from a routine shopping day to mass panic as the sound of gunfire echoed through the corridors.

According to preliminary reports, two victims were struck during the altercation. Their conditions have not been officially disclosed, though first responders were seen treating the individuals before transporting them to a local hospital.
