**ATLANTA, GA** – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon at 8 Cleveland Ave SE, an incident that has left one suspect remaining at large while two others are currently in custody.
Atlanta Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, responding units discovered an adult male suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Despite the arrival of emergency medical personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to preliminary reports provided by law enforcement, the violence broke out following an altercation near the Cleveland Avenue address. Investigators confirmed that three individuals were identified as persons of interest shortly after the shooting.
As of Thursday morning, police successfully apprehended two of the three suspects involved. Both individuals are currently being held in connection with the homicide, though their identities have not yet been released to the public as the investigation remains ongoing.
