# Our Politicians Against Each Other and Against Us
**By Arya 3**
The political theater in Washington has reached a fever pitch, but while partisan bickering dominates the headlines, the American people are left to bear the brutal consequences of a government that seems to have turned its back on national security.
Daily news cycles are saturated with prominent figures like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries relentlessly undermining any legislative efforts proposed by the opposition. A recent point of contention was the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” a piece of legislation aimed at broad national benefit, which was met with stiff, tactical resistance from Democratic leadership until the very last moment.
However, the real tragedy is not found in the ego-driven disputes of the Capitol, but in the streets of our cities. Citizens now face an unprecedented reality where they must worry about being targeted by lone-wolf terrorists—individuals whose presence in the country is the direct result of current immigration policies that have allowed millions to bypass proper vetting and security protocols.
The danger is no longer theoretical. Last week, the streets of New York City became a battleground when two Islamic teens attempted to carry out an attack against demonstrators. Shortly thereafter, in Dearborn, Michigan, a synagogue was targeted by an immigrant who drove a vehicle laden with $2,000 worth of fireworks and a rifle directly into the structure, clearly intending to inflict mass casualties on children.
Police investigations later revealed that the attacker’s brother was a Hezbollah commander, further underscoring the lethal nature of the infiltration taking place. This follows a string of previous tragedies, including the murder of two National Guard troops by an illegal alien from Afghanistan last November.
Despite these clear, horrific patterns, officials continue to posture with the absurd refrain: "We need to find out the motive for the attacks."
The focus of our leadership is fundamentally backward. Instead of feigning ignorance over the motives of terrorists, the American people should be demanding to know why the Biden administration and their counterparts in Congress have permitted over 15 million illegal aliens—including millions of adherents to ideologies explicitly hostile to Western civilization—to enter the interior of the United States.
The disconnect between the ruling class and the citizenry is further evidenced by the refusal of certain members of Congress to pass essential funding for the Department of Homeland Security over the past month. By stalling these resources, they are effectively ensuring that the border remains a sieve, allowing the next potential threat to walk right into our neighborhoods.
While the political elite remain locked in a perpetual cycle of partisan warfare, the average American is forced to reckon with a new, dangerous reality: our leaders are not just fighting each other; they are failing to protect the very people they were sworn to serve.
