Patchogue-Medford High School senior Evan Fraser was recently named to Newsday’s list of the top 50 Long Island boys indoor track athletes of the 2025-2026 school year. In his junior season, Evan won the county championship in the 300-meter and claimed the county title in the outdoor 200-meter as well.

“Evan earned all-county honors last year for his success in the 300-meter,” said Patchogue-Medford High School boys track and field coach Steve Cole. “He also represented Patchogue-Medford at the New York State track and field championships and earned a silver medal in the intersectional relay.”

Evan has already broken several school records this year. His remarkable time of 22.73 seconds set the Patchogue-Medford record in the 200-meter dash, and he claimed the 300-meter record with a time of 35.38 seconds. He also captured the 400-meter record with his impressive time of 52.31 seconds.

Following his graduation from Patchogue-Medford High School, Evan plans to study sports medicine in college and continue his track and field career.
