Meanwhile, EU ambassadors have approved new sanctions against 19 Iranian officials and entities, the bloc’s foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced on X, claiming they are“responsible for serious human rights violations.”Brussels has backed Washington during the escalation and has not condemned the US-Israeli strikes on Iran that have reportedly killed more than 1,300 people so far.
