In this segment Jimmy argues that voter shifts from Obama to Trump and from Trump to Democrats reflect a recurring pattern in which voters abandon the party in power when it fails to deliver on campaign promises. He attributes Obama's loss of support to policies he says favored Wall Street and the pharmaceutical and insurance industries, continued military intervention, and the foreclosure crisis, and draws parallels with Trump's broken promises on affordability, immigration, foreign policy, and corporate influence.
Joined by Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger, Jimmy criticizes Democrats for celebrating electoral gains without addressing the underlying causes of voter dissatisfaction, and argues that both major parties remain influenced by wealthy donors and corporate interests; he also questions efforts to position JD Vance as a successor to Trump. He concludes that meaningful change requires labor-led general strikes and publicly financed elections, while discussing immigration and wages, the lack of competitive Democratic presidential primaries, and the need for political parties to offer voters substantive improvements rather than simply asking them to reject the other side.
