Tehran:Amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Iran on Wednesday issued a threat to US tech companies, including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Nvidia. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)-affiliated Tasnim News Agency published a list of US tech giants linked to Israel that are allegedly supporting military operations. The development came after Israel reportedly targeted a bank in Tehran.

Tasnim news agency’s list includes “Iran’s new target," where infrastructure used for cloud-based services operated by US-based tech giants—Google, Nvidia, Microsoft, Palantir Technologies, and Oracle Corporation—is located. These infrastructures listed by Iran’s news agency are located in several Israli cities and the Gulf countries.

Iranian military’s central operational command, Khatam Al-Anbiya, in a statement aired by the country’s state TV, said that the enemy gave them free rein to target economic centres and banks belonging to the United States and the “Zionist regime”. It also reportedly urged people across the region to avoid going within one kilometre radius of these economic institutions.

The IRGC has previously also reportedly launched operations against Amazon data centers in Dubai. Last week, Iran carried out a drone attack on an Amazon data center in Bahrain, state media reported. Iranian drones have even targeted two Amazon facilities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On Tuesday night, Iran claimed that an Israeli strike hit a bank in Tehran, killing several employees. The report by Tasnim new agency termed it an “infrastructure war” and said that the range of targets would now expand.

Meanwhile, the conflict in the Middle East entered day 12. Earlier on Wednesday, two Iranian drones hit near Dubai International Airport, injuring four people, reported The Associated Press. The Dubai Media Office, which issues statements on behalf of the city-state's government, said the attack caused "minor injuries to two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national and moderate injuries to one Indian national." Flights continue to operate from the airport.

Meanwhile, Iran's Ambassador to the UN, Amir-Saeid Iravani, on Tuesday night (local time) alleged that the US and Israel were deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure.

"They are deliberately and discriminately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure across my country. They show no respect for international law and no restraint in committing these crimes. Densely populated residential area and critical civilian infrastructure are deliberately targeted. So far, these horrific crimes have resulted in the martyrdom of more than 1,300 civilians,” he stated.
