Five days before the United States and Israel launched a war on Iran, the world was intrigued by files related to convictedsex offender Jeffrey Epsteinreleased by the US Department of Justice.

The February 24 NPR report alleged the Department of Justice (DOJ) had withheld documents from the Epstein files thatspecifically mentioned President Donald Trump.
Analytical data shows that since the war began, Google searches for “Epstein files" have plummeted, while interest in the Iran conflict has surged by over 1,200%.
The ‘Epstein files’ refers to amassive collectionof approximately six million pages of investigative documents, emails, flight logs, and media related to the sex-trafficking enterprise of financier Jeffrey Epstein. The files originate from multiple federal and state investigations into Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell.
On January 30, 2026, the DOJ releases its final major cache: 3 million additional pages, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images.
United Kingdom: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is arrested on suspicion of sharing confidential state documents with Epstein. Peter Mandelson resigns from the Labour Party following reports he forwarded sensitive government info to Epstein, according to a BBC report.
