DAWSON’S Creek legend James Van Der Beek has died at the age of 48 after a battle with colorectal cancer.
The actor’s family announced his passing on social media 14 months after James first revealed hisdiagnosis with stage 3 colorectal cancer.
On February 11th, James’ wife,Kimberly Van Der Beek, sharedthe heartbreaking updatewith fans onInstagram.
Alongside a headshot of the ’90s heartthrob, she wrote in the caption: “Our beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning.
“He met his final days with courage, faith, and grace. There is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity and the sacredness of time.
“Those days will come. For now we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve our loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.”
