November 04, 2026 BRONX, New York - Demonstrators rallied Wednesday night to demand arrests in the killing of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong.
The Justice for Javits rally and march was set for 7 p.m. at Joyce Kilmer Park on the Grand Concourse as crowds gathered.
Organizers said the event called for justice for Javits and all Black lives lost to gun violence, under the banner "Justice, Transparency, Accountability."
"We are done dying. We are done burying our children," one speaker told the crowd.
Another speaker said, "There must be justice today. Today, not tomorrow."
Police said Javits was fatally shot on his way to school on Oct. 29.
