November 3, 2026 DEARBORN, Michigan - Voters cast ballots in Dearborn, Michigan, on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, with polls across the state set to be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to FOX 2 Detroit. At the top of the ballot was the U.S. Senate race between Democrat Abdul El-Sayed and Republican Mike Rogers for the seat held by retiring Sen. Gary Peters, WXYZ reported. Michigan voters also chose a governor, a secretary of state and an attorney general, and decided two statewide proposals, according to the Kent County official candidates and proposals list. Proposal 1 asked voters whether to call a state constitutional convention, and Proposal 2 addressed campaign contributions from utilities and government contractors along with disclosure rules for political messaging, WTOL reported. A man who identified himself as Pastor Jack Eggleston said he had known El-Sayed for six to seven years and had served on a board with him, according to the audio. He described El-Sayed as an engaged board member who offered ideas and welcomed those of others, and he praised his integrity and credentials, according to the audio. Eggleston also said he had seen no sign that anyone was pushing Sharia law in Dearborn, according to the audio.
