Korea-based global beauty device and cosmetics company APR will sponsor the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California next month as part of its efforts to further promote its Medicube brand worldwide.

The company said Wednesday that it will be the first Korean company in the skincare and beauty device category to sponsor the large-scale music and arts festival.

The outreach will include Medicube promotional booths at the festival, which runs from April 10 to 19. The booths will showcase the brand’s flagship products, allowing visitors to try products including the Zero Pore Pad, PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask and AGE-R beauty devices such as the Booster Pro lineup.

APR aims to further cement Medicube’s growing global popularity through the event. The United States is the company’s largest overseas market, and about 80 percent of its sales last year came from outside Korea.

The company said Medicube recorded 1.4 trillion won ($960 million) in global sales last year, in addition to maintaining a dominant position in the domestic market.

“We expect our sponsorship of Coachella to serve as an important opportunity for Medicube to communicate directly with consumers around the world,” an APR official said.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the world’s most popular music events. About 250,000 visitors attended the two-week festival last year.
