Anamaria Goltes, the partner of Los Angeles Lakers starLuka Dončić, has filed a court petition seeking child support and attorney fees for their two minor children, thrusting the off‑court lives of one of the NBA's biggest stars into the headlines.
The legal move comes amid confirmation that the couple is separated and engaged in an ongoing custody dispute, prompting widespread media attention and social media discussion across sports and entertainment platforms.
On 10 March 2026, Goltes submitted a petition in a California court requesting formal child support for the couple's daughters, Gabriela and Olivia, along with coverage of legal fees. According to the court documents reported byTMZ, the petition does not seek any changes in custody arrangements at this stage.
The filing states that Goltes moved back to Slovenia in May 2025, and that both daughters have been living with her there ever since, including their youngest child who was born in December 2025.
The decision to file in the United States may be aimed at establishing formal legal support obligations, given Dončić's status as a high‑earning professional athlete.
Dončić, 27, publicly acknowledged his separation from Goltes in a statement toESPN, confirming an ongoing custody battle over their two daughters. He stated that he ended their engagement because it was not possible to have his daughters with him in the United States during the NBA season.
'I love my daughters more than anything and I've been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the US during the season, but that hasn't been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement,' Dončić said in the statement. 'Everything I do is for my daughters' happiness and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can.'
Sources familiar with the situation have indicated that Dončić was unaware that Goltes had filed the petition before it was submitted.
Goltes and Dončić first met in Slovenia as teenagers and began dating in 2016. The relationship grew over the years, with Dončić proposing in July 2023 ahead of the birth of their first daughter, Gabriela, in November 2023. Their second daughter, Olivia, was born in December 2025 while they were in Slovenia.
Throughout their time together, Goltes, known as a fashion and fitness model, and Dončić, afive‑time NBA All‑Star, maintained a relatively private personal life until the recent legal developments brought the family matter into public view.
