The video depicts Officer Bryant of the Auburn WA Police Department on top of a suspect on North Auburn Way today, raining 22 blows to the head, backed against concrete. 10/28 Around 3:15 p.m., the Auburn Police Department was dispatched to reports of a male running in and out of traffic on Auburn Way North and attempting to enter vehicles passing by. When the first officer arrived, the male refused to comply with the officer's commands. The officer deployed a Taser in an attempt to gain compliance. While the officer attempted to handcuff the male, a physical altercation ensued. Additional officers arrived to assist, and it took four officers to gain control of the male and place him in handcuffs. While handcuffed, the suspect continued to scream and resist. Fire personnel were also called to the scene to assist in calming him. The suspect did not appear to have any serious injuries but was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The officer was also transported to a hospital for evaluation.
