The explosions came on the same day the Israeli military confirmed it was actively targeting central Tehran, with blasts reported near the country’s police headquarters and the Iranian state broadcasting complex, according toThe Associated Press. The Israeli Defence Forces said dozens of fighter jets had launched the operation using over 170 munitions targeting command centres and missile production facilities, theIDFsaid in a statement.
