LG Innotek, an electronic component manufacturing unit of LG Group, on Tuesday reported a third-quarter net profit of 95.2 billion won ($71.9 million), down 25.8 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit for the July-September period was 94.8 billion won, down 53.4 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Sales rose 18.6 percent to 6.36 trillion won. The earnings exceeded market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 61.6 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
