Rihanna was at home in Beverly Hills on Sunday afternoon when police say a woman in a white Tesla opened fire on her £11 million mansion with an AR‑15‑style rifle, an attack that has led investigators to a trail of obsessive social media posts targeting the singer.

For context, Los Angeles officers were called shortly after 1 p.m. toRihanna's gated property in the upscale Beverly Hills Post Office area, where radio dispatch recordings suggest around 10 shots were fired from a car parked across the street.

One bullet is said to have penetrated a wall of the home she shares with rapper A$AP Rocky, though no injuries were reported and police later confirmed the star was unharmed. The suspect drove away but was tracked by helicopter to a shopping centre car park and arrested within about half an hour.

Officers have identified the suspect as 35‑year‑old Ivana (also reported as Ivanna) Lisette Ortiz, a Florida woman who has been booked on attempted murder charges and is being held on bail of just over $10 million.

Arrest records cited in local coverage put the figure at $10,225,000, reflecting the seriousness with which authorities are treating the alleged attack on Rihanna's home. Police say four rounds or fragments hit parts of the property, including the front gate and a vehicle outside, while at least two neighbouring homes on the block were also left with bullet damage.

Weeks before Ivanna Ortiz allegedly allegedly fired an AR-15 type rifle at Rihanna’s home, she posted about the singer on her Facebook.https://t.co/MVqc7JaLQf

The news came after online sleuths and US outlets began piecing together a series of disturbing posts apparently made by Ortiz in the weeks before the shooting, many of them centred on Rihanna and other high‑profile celebrities.

Screenshots reported by the New York Post show a Facebook message dated Feb. 23 in which Ortiz appears to address the singer directly, tagging her handle and writing, '@badgalriri Are you there? Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you talking to me where I'm not at.' There is no evidence for any of the claims in that post, and authorities have not suggested it forms part of a formal motive at this stage.
