‘Rough Sleeping' Is Rough Enough Without Being Hungry Too

I saw a homeless White man yesterday, asleep on the sidewalk against a front window of the store I secure.

Told the manager, who chose not to wake him. I used to give Subway cards to the homeless at my pre pandemic security head job. Time to resume sharing

I understand that giving food or gift cards from the store can start an influx of hungry folks coming there looking for me so I'll find them away from it. Surrounded by shopping makes starving all the more miserable.

I'll post what I give out here. The British call it 'rough sleeping' and it's truly rough stretching out on cardboard, a sheet or nothing at all on concrete.
