President Trump rallied voters in Sioux City, Iowa on Thursday, where he announced his administration’s use of the Defense Production Act to boost refining capacity, aiming to lower fuel prices. The president also stumping for Republican candidates, including Congresswoman Ashley Hinson, the GOP nominee for Senate, and criticizing the record of her Democrat opponent, state Representative Josh Turek. President Trump has ordered new measures aimed at lowering the cost of buying a home, which directs the Federal Housing Finance Agency to automatically cancel private mortgage insurance for qualifying homeowners once they build up enough equity. President Trump is also directing housing officials to find ways to reduce refinancing costs, including making a pilot program allowing alternatives to title insurance. President Trump says Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar must step down, after a new report questioned whether she was sworn into Congress under her real name. Fox News reports that Omar’s real name is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, citing two sources familiar with a federal investigation. A court filing from U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro also uses that name. Ahmed Nur Said Elmi is Omar’s ex-husband, and she has long denied claims that he is her brother. Her office calls the report “completely false,” and says her “not to my knowledge” answer was sarcastic. Omar has not been charged with a crime. -- 🍀 Support NTD 👉 https://donate.ntd.com/ -- 📺 Watch NTD News 24/7 on cable, broadcast, and streaming: https://www.ntd.com/watch 🧶Exclusive Documentaries & Movies on NTD+: https://www.ntdplus.com/utm_source=YouTube&utm_medium=SocialM -- 🔵Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed with NTD News. 👉https://www.ntd.com/newsletter.htm?utm_source=YouTube.
