French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu says the government is set to deploy military forces on Saturday, to reinforce the police during protests set to happen that day. Lecornu says the goal is a return to order, following last weekend’s violent riots. President Trump has warned that European leaders are running out of time to get the situation under control, and that the situation is far more serious than a protest or riot. President Trump announced new investments in semiconductor manufacturing, during a rally in North Carolina on Tuesday. He said a large part of that investment will be coming from the Department of War. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick also announced a separate investment by Sibelco, a minerals company that will produce quartz components used in semiconductor manufacturing. He said the investment would be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The Trump administration is offering cash rewards for tips that expose taxpayer fraud, through a program called the Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program. It will allow those who uncover fraud and report it to the Justice Department to receive 1% of the amount of the taxpayer money that's been recovered.
