The K-pop world was stunned when news broke that Lee Heeseung had quit ENHYPEN. The singer, widely regarded as the group's 'ace' and main vocalist, officially stepped away from the band after what his agency described as long and careful discussions about the group's future direction.

According to Belift Lab, the decision came after it became clear that Heeseung wanted to pursue a musical vision of his own. While the departure has shocked fans across the global ENGENE fandom, the company insists the move was made with the future of both the artist and the group in mind.

Belift Labconfirmedthe news through an official statement shared on its social media platforms. The agency explained that the decision followed extensive conversations between the members and management about ENHYPEN's next chapter.

According to the statement, discussions about the group's long term goals led to an important realisation. Heeseung's musical aspirations were described as 'distinct' from the direction the team planned to pursue moving forward.

The company said it ultimately chose to respect the singer's artistic ambitions. As a result, Heeseung will depart from the group and ENHYPEN will continue their official activities as a six member team.

Belift Lab acknowledged that the announcement may be difficult for fans to process. However, the agency stressed that the decision came after careful deliberation and was made with both the group and the artist's future in mind.

Heeseung first gained public attention through thesurvival programme I-LAND, where he quickly became one of the most recognisable trainees. Known for his strong vocals, dance ability and stage presence, he finished fifth in the final episode and secured a place in ENHYPEN's debut line up.

Before appearing on the show, he had already spent more than three years training under Big Hit Entertainment. That experience helped shape his reputation as one of the most skilled performers in the group.

Born in Namyangju in South Korea, the singer also earned praise for his musical abilities beyond performing. Fans often highlighted his songwriting and composing skills, while his perfect pitch and polished vocals made him a standout figure within the band.

Since ENHYPEN debuted in November 2020, Heeseung has been widely viewed as one of the group's central members. His departure therefore marks a major shift for the team as they move forward with a new six member line up.
