President Emmanuel Macron conveniently blamed high gas prices, while lefty corporate media ran cover and really tried to reinforce the narrative (again) that these rioters were merely youth-led protesters. CBS News got caught calling riots "scuffles" and subsequently deleted the X post.

The BBC has reported that France’s riots are “mostly peaceful.” “In Paris and beyond, half a million people had filled cities across France to protest over the future of their country,” BBC correspondent James Waterhouse said. “They were mostly peaceful, but as we saw in the capital, in the wings were those who wanted to take advantage of the disorder.” As he said this, footage aired showing masked protesters burning cars and fighting with police officers.
