Petrol, Diesel Prices in India Today:Despite global crude oil prices crossing $100 per barrel amid rising tensions in West Asia, petrol and diesel prices in India remain unchanged on March 10, 2026. Retail fuel prices have stayed steady across major cities even as international oil markets witnessed a sharp surge.
The global benchmark Brent Crude Oil recently crossed the $100-per-barrel mark for the first time since 2022. Prices briefly climbed above $114 per barrel due to fears of supply disruptions following the ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran.

However, the spike in global crude prices has not yet affected retail fuel prices in India.
In New Delhi, petrol continues to cost Rs 94.77 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs 87.67 per litre.
In Mumbai, petrol is selling at Rs 103.49 per litre, while diesel costs around Rs 90.03 per litre.
Petrol prices are above Rs 100 per litre in several major cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Diesel prices in these cities, however, remain below the Rs 100 mark.
Fuel prices in India are revised daily by oil marketing companies based on global crude oil prices and changes in the rupee-dollar exchange rate.
The three state-run companies that set and distribute fuel prices are Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum.
Despite volatility in global oil markets, petrol and diesel prices in India have remained mostly stable for several years.
