Extremely disturbing details have emerged in the case involving a woman accused of opening fire near the home of global pop iconRihanna. Authorities recently arrested a suspect following the alleged shooting incident, and older social media videos linked to the accused are now going viral, leaving people shocked. According to reports, the woman had previously uploaded several videos online making strange and incoherent claims about the singer, including statements about Rihanna’s death. The resurfaced clips have now become a key point of discussion as investigators are examining the suspect’s background and possible motivations.

The suspect, identified as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, was arrested after allegedly firing multiple rounds from her car toward Rihanna’s residence on Sunday. Law enforcement officials later booked her on charges of attempted murder, and she is currently being held in custody with bail reportedly set at $10,225,000. Following her arrest, several videos previously uploaded by Ortiz began circulating online. The clips, reportedly posted on YouTube earlier this year and obtained by TMZ now, show her making a series of unusual and often incoherent statements about Rihanna.

In one video posted on January 4, Ortiz is seen holding a “Praying Woman’s Journal” while speaking directly to the camera. During the recording, she appears to accuse the singer of attempting to harm her. The situation becomes more unsettling as she goes on to talk about what might happen when Rihanna dies, claiming that God would then take her to her “future.”

The attacker had previously threatened Rihanna via social media

Another video uploaded on January 21 shows Ortiz continuing a similar rant. In that clip, she once again holds the same journal and appears to compare Rihanna’s face to the devil before launching into a confusing monologue that shifts topics abruptly.

In one of her more recent posts, Ortiz also appeared to address rapper Cardi B. While speaking to herself in a mirror, she declared that Cardi B could not “mess” with her, adding that the rapper was supposedly too busy to deal with her. As perNY Post, court records also reveal that Ortiz had previously attempted to take legal action involving the entertainment industry. In 2025, she filed an emergency petition against Live Nation Entertainment and the city of Orlando in connection with a concert by Billie Eilish at the Kia Center.

In the petition, Ortiz asked the court to block the concert, claiming that event organisers had not obtained a proper special-event permit and a necessary noise waiver. While Live Nation has previously worked with Rihanna on major concert tours, there is no indication that the legal filing had any direct link to the singer.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether Ortiz’s social media activity is directly connected to the alleged shooting incident. However, the resurfaced videos appear to show a pattern of increasingly erratic behaviour and an unusual fixation on well-known celebrities.

As the investigation continues, officials are expected to examine both the alleged shooting and Ortiz’s online activity more closely to determine what may have led to the incident.
