25-year-old Jas Kalra from Gurugram is quietly transforming thousands of vulnerable lives, including elderly, abandoned, and specially-abled people; people who have been left with no care or loved ones. The Gurugram man saw his father, Ravi Kalra, devote all his energy to helping society and also founded the Earth Saviours Foundation in 2008.
His journey began early, watching his father, Ravi Kalra, rescue destitute people from the streets. What began as a small effort has grown into a lifeline for many. Today, Jas continues that mission, offering shelter, food, medical care, and dignity to those often left unseen by society.
At the age of 21, Jas's father passed. Following that, his commitment to social work deepened, and he inherited the responsibility of managing The Earth Saviours Foundation, with a focus on rescuing and providing shelter for abandoned elderly people, many of whom have been neglected by their families.
Since taking over, Jas has expanded the foundation's reach, currently caring for approximately 1,200 residents who arrive in dire conditions.
The Earth Saviours Foundation operates as a refuge for those abandoned on the streets, in hospitals, or left without support. Jas has personally rescued more than 1,500 people, providing immediate medical assistance and shelter.
In an interview, he told The Better India, "It is not the cruelty they faced that surprises me. It is how they still find a reason to live and grow."
Apart from feeding the vulnerable and offering food and medical care, the foundation fosters a community atmosphere where residents can connect and support each other. This environment not only addresses their physical needs but also helps alleviate the emotional distress caused by abandonment.

Jas's philanthropy is not limited to feeding the elderly and vulnerable. He has also cremated over 3,000 unclaimed bodies, ensuring that even those who die nameless receive dignity in their final rites.
He firmly believes that everyone deserves respect, regardless of their circumstances. "Everyone deserves dignity, no matter how society has failed them," he said.
