Harrah, OK - A suspected copper thief made a dramatic escape through a closed window while fleeing an Oklahoma County deputy, but investigators say he left something behind that could make identifying him a whole lot easier. His driver’s license. The wild encounter happened Oct. 1 at a vacant home near Britton and Harrah Road in Harrah. According to Oklahoma County deputies, Rayven Wooten is accused of breaking into the home, where a deputy confronted him. Body camera video shows the tense encounter as the deputy repeatedly orders the suspect to get on his knees. Instead of surrendering, the suspect takes off running. But rather than heading for a door, he crashes straight through a closed window to escape. The deputy can be heard reacting as the suspect makes his unexpected exit. While the suspect managed to get away from the immediate confrontation, deputies said he left behind a backpack containing his driver’s license. That crucial piece of evidence helped investigators identify him. Deputies say Wooten is facing complaints of burglary, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.
