Sunny Hostin's claim that she was the lone holdout juror in the 1991 Butcher of Tompkins Square Park case was contradicted by multiple contemporary news sources and a court TV interview with the jury foreperson. Hostin stated on The View that she was the sole juror holding out for a not-guilty-by-reason-of-insanity verdict in the trial of Daniel Rakowitz and convinced all eleven other jurors to join her.
